I’ve had a special collection of fabric for quite some time now, too precious to cut into without a great project in mind. Briar Rose by Heather Ross. So while drinking my coffee this morning I found Sister’s Ten Modern BOM and I knew this would be the perfect project for this bundle of fabric. Now, I know this block of the month was for 2013 and it’s already the end of February. I’m a little late to the party, but that’s okay. I have a rainy, kid free weekend ahead of me. I’m excited to dig in. Hopefully by this time next week I’ll have some finished blocks to show you.
I’ve linked up with Frontier Dream’s Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}. Head on over to see what other’s are busy with this week.
Oh that project looks advanced, but very pretty. I have a fat quarters of organic science inspired fabric that I won at a giveaway that I’m afraid to cut too.
I’ll definitely be testing my skills with this quilt.
That quilt will be gorgeous! I love that line of fabric. I actually have a talented friend making my daughter a quilt with the same line 🙂
I did the last few blocks last year waiting for this year’s BOM, good luck! Anne Marie designs some really nice stuff. 🙂
Those fabrics look so cheery together, perfect for spring! The pattern you chose looks lovely but complicated… I have never made a quilt before but I think I am going to attempt a simple design sometime this year.
I really love to see a “potential” post. Sometimes, I feel pressured to only show finished products but as a a reader of blogs, I really like to see the process. I’m sure the quilt will be gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t ever made a quilt before, but I admire them so! What a beautiful design!
Oh absolute wow! Can’t wait to see Sisters’ Ten in Briar Rose!!!!! 🙂
i have a stack of fat quarters from Briar Rose that is waiting for me to sew it into a quilt. This quilt design is lovely!
I started sewing a couple blocks yesterday and it looks great. I’ll post them next week.
