Just a quick post from a proud mama and extremely happy boy. Today was our last baseball game. The boys have at least one playoff game, but the season is officially over. Of course it had to be Dodgers vs. Giants. Daniel got to pitch an inning and he did an awesome job considering he’s never done it before. He was so excited and had a great little fist pump when he threw a strike. He was also the leadoff hitter which he almost couldn’t believe and had to prove it to us by showing us the line up. It was a great way to end the season. I never thought I’d say it, but I have so enjoyed this season and the hours (and hours) of watching Daniel and his teammates. They are a wonderful bunch of boys. Anyway…I know the pictures are terrible. I can’t believe I didn’t have my camera for his moment in the sun.
And for the geek moment of the day: Boys of Summer refers to a book about the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers season when they won the World Series. Pretty cool. Of course it’s also a Don Henley song, but you already knew that.
